i am a white, queer, neurodivergent , & creative fae. i am a midwife, a heart-feeler, a guide, an artist, a faerie, a trauma survivor [thriver], a witch, a healer, a clairvoyant, a therapist, a death walker, a threshold keeper, & a wonderfully sensitive human being.

death is an essential touchstone to who i am in the world.

grief and i have been companions for most of my life. my first loss was my beloved kitty, meekesh, at the tender age of 5. my second loss was my mother, at the becoming age of 8. & the losses go on. having a relationship with death from a young age has been pivotal to my existence - the deepest heartache & the most beautiful gift.

having encountered loss so young, my world was shaped by my lived experience. i learned to understand the subtleties of the wind, rain, waves, sunlight, trees(…) & began to translate that into my connection with those who had died. although experiencing death young was devastatingly isolating & scary, i always found myself following a heart-thread back to the elements, & feeling a little less alone.

still - the aloneness that accompanies grief in today's world astounds me. it breaks my heart. in all the lives i've lived, deep dives, hyperfixations, obsessions, and fascination with death & grief — i have understood that ritual & community are the two major [& primal] aspects missing in death processes in western society.

that is what this project is for me. i want this zine & passion project to be a salve for the wounds our collective holds around death. i want to facilitate conversation, connection, community, & containment for this rite of passage practically every human being encounters on planet earth. especially right now, with humanity facing horrific genocides, climate crisis, & daily devastation... there is a lot to grieve about. maybe grieving in connection with others can be a catalyst for substantial & meaningful change in western culture.

i am grateful for your presence on these pages. i hope to be a resource and grief companion on this journey with you. please feel free to reach out & connect with me.

with love & magic,
